The answers are … Image: Don’t eat or drink while in the lab. Don’t fool around during a lab. Always wear safety goggles when doing an experiment Always point test tubes and other items away from yourself and others when heating. Keep hair and other flammable objects away from flames. Don’t leave a flame unattended.

Briefly describe how you would use these objects to heat the contents of a test tube.

First, put on safety goggles and lab apron. Tie back long hair and check your shirt sleeves. Second, light alcohol burner with match. Third, remove test tube from rack and hold test tube with test tube clamp. Finally, when heating test tube, hold with clamp, place bottom of test tube over flame, and point the opening away from your face.
