My life would not be completed without the bible. I believe it has the answer to everything. I love the many stories (parables) and Songs of Solomon, which is like a love poem. Reading the bible gave me instructions on how to live my life and I try to abide by the 10 commandments. However, we all fall short sometimes. I learned a lot from reading the Bible and the process still continues. I need a dictionary every time I read the bible because the words are like-- not in my vocabulary range. Tehee. This is the only book I do not mind reading over and over again. I am who I became because of God and his written message.

This text is about a caterpillar's/ butterfly life cycle. Before his transformation he eats everything in sight. I was first introduced to Eric Carle in one of my college courses where I had to create an author study project. I was later given this book as a gift to my son, which I read to him almost everyday. I read it so frequently I know word for word without looking in the book. I associate my son with the book, therefor I am very attach to both my son and the book. It was the very first piece of text I ever read aloud to my little one. I also love Eric Carle’s illustration style with his variation in water colors.

I am a sucker for “love”!! I did not like this book the first couple times I read it to my son, but then I began to give the words meaning. Now it is one of my favorite books. I love the last page! Many children stories are about the child and a mother, but this book is about a father Hare and his son. I rarely encounter books like these because fathers play a role in a child’s life also and should be given some type of credit. Fact About Tanneese: I love children literature! They still teach me things I was unaware of. I want my son to grow up and love reading. I wish I was introduced to books at an early age.

This was one of the required reading material for my high school. A great choice by the way! I never knew what a “vegetable” was until reading the material. It only took one person,McMurphy, to change the setting of a mental ward. There were a lot of biblical imagery in this novel that I was able to locate, such as “the last supper”. This book was like an undercover inspirational book because McMurphy wanted to help Chief escape. When McMurphy became a vegetable for his disruptive behavior, Chief suffocated him with a pillow to free him from his misery. Even though it was sad, I loved it because it showed how one person was condemned for wanting to be different, such as Jesus dying to free us from our sins. I really enjoyed this piece.

Lets not judge!! I was in love with Zane novels. Despite the facts that her books circulated around sexual behaviors, her style of writing is so descriptive and detailed that you feel like your standing right there in the mist of it all. I walked everywhere with Zane, it’s kind of funny because her novels were banned in my high school. Some of the word choices were to advanced for me so I would write down and define the words later, most of them related to sexual contents….of course. I loved the imagery in this novel but I never tried to be what I read because the behavior was not appropriate!

This was very interesting, I thought I was a visual learner, at the most! However, I can relate to my results. I rather work alone than in groups because I feel like I get more done. Rather than focusing on one area, I get to go through all that is required. I love being alone because people irritate me, especially when I am not in the mood. I love company sometimes though. I feel like I understand something when I am able to do a hands on activity relating to the subject or be provided with a visual aid. My learning style is not naturalistic because I do not like involving myself in plant life and animals. I do respect the environment though.
