Silver Fern (Cyathea Dealbata)  Most well known of the NZ tree ferns because it is one of New Zealands National Symbol  The leaves have a Silver White on the undersurface (Bottom side) – that glows at night.  They can grow up to 10meters in height.

Purple Cabbage Tree (Cordyline Australis ‘Purple Tower’)  The ‘Purple Tower’ has deep velet red leaves and have a tropical look about them.  Once planted you can expect this plant to triple in size over the next two to three years.  As they grow older they will develop a bare trunk up to 3 metres tall and 60 centimeters in diameters.

Cabbage Tree (Cordyline Australis)  One of the meet common native plants.  Grows into a tall straight trunk or trunks with long nerrow leaves.  The cabbage tree will prouce an attractive, scented flowers in spring.

Nikau (Rhopalostylis Sapda)  Nikau is a plant of the palm family that can reach up to 10 meters.  The seeds of Nikau are about 8 millimeters tall and are bright red or orange.  Nikau are slow growing and in a year or 2 may be only 30 centimeters tall.

Rewarewa (Knightea Excelsa)  The ‘Rewarewa’ produces reddish brown flower from October to December  They attract many native birds that feed on the necter  The Rewarewa is ‘evergreen’ and grows up to 7 meters.
