Australia – Envirocare Sai Young Adults conduct Eco-spirituality retreat; significant take up of environment and spirituality by youth. Youth join national Sai Envirocare team.

Australia – Unity of Faiths All-Faith Musical Festival attracts adherents of other faiths to interact on Unity of Faiths principles with music.

Fiji – EHV in Schools Schools are requesting in-school-workshops on EHV Continued support from the Government agencies has created a an excellent response to the program. Three Sai Members conduct the program. The program is now compulsory for all the teachers to attend

Fiji – Flood Relief Flooding at River Road at Narere, 25 February 35 grocery food parcels distributed on Sat 1st March Further 75 parcels were distributed in conjunction with another group.

Fiji – Medical Camp in Suva As part of the Samadhi Day celebrations Central Division held a Free Medical Camp on 26/4/12 at Tamavua Primary School from 9.00am to 3pm.

Fiji – Medical Camp by NZ Dates: 5/5 to 10/5/14, Venues: 5 separate locations. Team: 60 persons from New Zealand, 1 from Australia, 30 from Fiji, including Medical, Paramedical and Seva Dal participated. No of patients served: 3069 No of Prescriptions: 1575 (free) Eye Patients: 894

NZ Medical Team at Vatukoula

Fiji – Sai School Solar Panels This project has been funded by ESSA, a group of Ex-Fiji Sai devotees living in Sydney. Project is complete. The panels on a normal sunny day provides total requirements for the school. Surplus, if any, is sold on the Grid.

New Zealand - ISSE The Director of ISSE in New Zealand and the Central Council Chair invited the Australian ISSE to provide training for the senior educators and key faculty members of the NZ ISSE for Intermediate Course Certificate.

NZ – Youth Mentoring Program A Community Youth Mentoring Program is being planned and full training will begin in July. This follows from the visit to New Zealand by Suresh Govind who encouraged the Sai youth to become more responsive to the issues of youth depression and suicide in the local communities. The program will be overseen by a professional counselor.

NZ – Mangakino Youth Sai Young Adults visit to assist youth identified “at risk” Conduct teamwork activities, challenges, self-reliance development activities, for self-confidence and inspiration of Mangakino youth

New Zealand – Community Adoption Program 2014 National Conference targets three areas for attention Rongomai Community (South Auckland) targeted for Educare, Sociocare, Medicare Educare: Values Club / SSEHV, Study Care - foundation /school home work help, Good Parenting, Good Role Models Socio-care: Budgeting, School Lunches, Dry Food, etc Medicare: Health Awareness, Medical Clinics, Counselling, Mentoring, Nutrition, Medical Advice

NZ – Rongomai Educare

NZ – School Garden bed, Otara School is in a low social-economic area and was in need of more garden beds used for growing vegetables for the school children & staff with the children actively gardening and cooking meals at the school.

Philippines – Serving Food Narayana seva six days each week Started serving Barangay #61 with about 60 meals in January 2014, February - added Barangay #60 with approximately more meals Early March, added Barangay # 31 with an additional 50 meals Mid-March, another Barangay # 52 with additional 50 meals approximately. Rizal Central School reopens in June - add 300 meals once per week.

Philippines – Serving Food (2) The feeding program will continue 6 days a week, 2 days in the coastal Barangays close to the Sai Home - Monday and Saturdays, 2 days at San Isidro school and 2 days at Rizal Central Primary. The number of meals will increase feeding up to 1500 persons a week.

Philippines – Mid March Bassey Medical Camp, March This was in Barangay Burgos about 45 minutes boat ride downstream, via deep waters.

Philippines – Dulag Medical Camp

A five day Medical Camp Held in the Municipality of Dulag Poor rural district Eye of Yolanda passed over the town.

Philippines – Dulag Medical Camp International team 12 people from 6 nations, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, Austria, Italy and Germany 5 medical practitioners 1 dentist 1 nurse/psychologist 5 general volunteers

Philippines – Dulag Medical Camp Serviced a different area daily Total of 2095 patients seen, 179 dental patients All patients received free medical and/or dental care and free medication.

Philippines – Dulag Medical Camp Some 300 people engaged in a Stress Alleviation Intervention (S.A.I.) training program to help patients with hypertension reduce stress. The S.A.I. protocol was followed by a general health promotion session.

Philippines – School Adoption San Isidro Elementary School, Palo District Being repaired by UNICEF Scope of the UNICEF work is limited to mount the trusses and roofing and does not include other work needed

Philippines – San Isidro School Other work is needed: repair of windows/ grills putting up of ceilings putting up of classroom partitions / blackboards electrical wiring / connections repainting of school buildings repair of the covered walk

Philippines – San Isidro School Draft MOU has been discussed with the principal and with the regional supervisor, the Department of Education and the Mayor of the Municipality of Palo for the reconstruction of this School.

Philippines – San Isidro School Narayana Seva is ongoing for school children. Requests are being received for more of this to be extended to other schools. Currently awaiting sign off on MOU by DepEd, Palo Municipality and SSIO
