Presentation transcript:

Map it! You are learning to represent information and links between facts and ideas by constructing mind maps

Some are more involved than others:

In groups discuss: Have you tried mind maps? If so, how do you find them? If not, why not?

Discuss in groups: At the end of Tuesday’s session, a student asked if he could have a copy of the mind map for ‘An Inspector Calls’. He was not given a copy. Apart from not wanting to give away their materials, what was the main reason he was told to make his own version?

Mind Maps Can be very powerful Force you to see links Force you to condense information and select the most important parts Help with a deeper understanding It is the process that is important

Mind maps can be used to review work… You can trace the outline and check you knowledge by filling in the missing parts

Select…. Use the start of the poem mind map and complete Use the Science sheets on fertility to create a mind map Use the pages from the RE revision booklet and create a mind map If you have other revision material with you, you could use that.
