Section A: Warming up Divide the Ss into four groups. Members of each group are encouraged to come to the blackboard to write down their favorite Chinese dishes or western dishes within 5 minutes.

Ss are asked to fill out the form on page and share the answers with the partner by reading them aloud.

Section B: Listening & Speaking Tasks before listening: 1. Go through the Common expressions used in a restaurant on p 81 to check whether the Ss previewed the lesson or not. 2. Encourage Ss volunteers to read the conversation on p79-80.
