Lunch- 2 hours because students go home for lunch. 2:00pm- students are back for afternoon classes until 5pm. There are 2 hours for dinner, then the students return at 7pm and stay until about 8:30 pm  twelfth graders usually stay until 9 or 9:30pm.  There is also school on Saturday, so they only get one day off instead of having two days off, like we do.

Food TTTThe Chinese eat everything, their meals includes; great source of sea food, beef, frog, mutton, chicken, ducks, vegtitables, and of course rice. YYYYou can enjoy western food from bigger cities like Beijing, shanghai, etc. OOOOne of the commonly eaten foods is mutton. Mutton is a famous delicacy of the Qinghai grasslands, and is not only a restaurant dish, but is also food for the herdsmen. Mutton doesn’t need to be cut, or fried so it is ready in about a half an hour. It has a special color, fragrance, taste and form. It can be eaten with hands and is surely delicious. As well as mutton to eat there is also lamb, they kill it then cut large chunks out and usually eat them with mutton.

Traditions  Some of the Chinese traditions are similar to ours, or much different.  The Chinese Marriage, the purpose of marriage is to continue the ancestral line and to create alliances between two families. Unlike before, only a few traditions in weddings had survived the centuries and became a part of the modern day weddings. However, there are still families who wish to include traditional practices in their wedding plans. Before the big wedding, Before the wedding, a Chinese bride is isolated with her closest friends. In this custom, the bride-to-be symbolically mourns the loss of family and friends. On her wedding day, the bride is bathed in water which is infused with pomelo in order to cleanse her from bad influences.  The Chinese Marriage, the purpose of marriage is to continue the ancestral line and to create alliances between two families.
