Context ❖ ENW AUGent: ExpertiseNetWork of the Teacher Trainers Institutions of the Ghent University Association ❖ Ambition: in close collaboration with different stakeholders contributing ❖ to the quality of teacher training programs ❖ to the further professionalization of teacher trainers By starting up and facilitating innovative projects

Project ICT competences of teacher trainers ❖ interENW/RP project with ENW AUGent as responsible institution. Other ENWs engage as part of the Sounding Board (& ICT design teams) ❖ Phase 1 ( ): development of the Flemish ICT development profile for teacher educators ❖ Phase 2 ( ): ICT design teams

ICT Design Teams ICT Design Teams: teams of teacher trainers/experts who go collectively through a design process in order to deliver a qualitative product. The design teams aim (1) to contribute to the further professionalisation of teacher trainers and (2) to stimulate the cooperation between different actors in the field of education with regard to ICT competences ❖ From at least three different institutions ❖ Funding: € per design team, of which max. 5000€ for the team leader ❖ Team members participate on a voluntary basis!

Conditions ❖ Bottom-up process ❖ Teacher educators participate on voluntary basis, yet once engaged in the design team, they are expected to be committed to the project and to promote the findings/results among their colleagues ❖ Application form is a starting point and guideline, the design team are (quite) free to follow their own route
