AuthorMrs Preesheila Bheem singh – Ujoodha Shrimati Indira Gandhi State Secondary School To promote healthy eating habits and stress free living in the school community and beyond Objectives Software Description Learning Areas Levels Form 4 – 5 (14 – 16yrs) Project Overview Art and Design, Food and Nutrition, Biology, Physical education This project is divided into two parts:- Part 1: Students were sensitized on the epidemic proportion of Non-Communicable Diseases(NCD) like Diabetes & Hypertension in Mauritius by resource persons from NGOs. They were evaluated and briefed about the causes and cures of the diseases by teachers from the Health & Yoga club. They created Glogsters, Autocollage, Posters, Video clips and Brochures on Healthy eating habits and Wellness. The participants then empowered primary school students and elderly members of the village on NCD & healthy lifestyle. Part 2: The students blogged with peers from Eunice High School, South Africa to know about related Health issues in their country.
