In February 2006 the Instructions for Tutors Activities has been established. Key activities: 1. Quality Assurance Committee to prepare and distribute the study results reports at the beggining of each semester 2. Tutors to hold the joint meeting with supervised students two times in the semester to discuss the results, problems and proposals for the studying quality assurance 3. Tutors to report the conclusions of the meetings to Quality Assurance Committee/Vicedean for Education Resulted in the large improvements in studying quality, students- teacher relations and organizational issues More information:

Duration of studying to study program duration ratio 2. Percentage of students graduating / 3. Percentage of drop-outs

18 “Bologna Before Bologna” Insufficent teaching staff resulted in larger groups of students for lectures and problem solving Lectures (P): 100 to 200 students – 1st year 50 to 150 students – 2nd year 50 to 60 students – 3rd year Problem solving (AV): 50 to 60 students Laboratory practice (LV/KV): 15 to 16 students Primary goal: to increase the number of theachers (profesors!) = increase the quality (enables smaller groups, sofisticated grading criteria, more individual work with students) Insufficent space and equipment laboratory problem is solved continously, but is to be finally solved by the end of the 2nd phase of Campus reconstruction (in 2007/2008) and particulary the 3rd phase (expected in 5-10 years) Teachers/student exchange ??? Very low, almost none!
