The Video Conferencing Pilot. An Educational Project AIM: To raise the profile of Video Conferencing as a tool for teaching and learning and to create a Cornish Pool of expertise that can be used to support and train other schools for the future. OBJECTIVE 1 I can plan a transition project between primary and secondary schools using live satellite links and Video Conferencing to enhance teaching and learning and “enjoy and achieve”. Objective 2 I understand how to formulate a VC development plan and can justify its use to enhance teaching and learning.

The Plan  Half day planning in schools for Lead teachers in project. Half day trialling activities with sample pupils. Dates to be given to LD by end of 6 th June.sample pupils th June.  6 th and 7 th June- Whole day planning between partner schools. Subsequent project.  June/September One day- visiting year 7 teachers to year 6/ year 6 teacher to year 7. Dates to LD.  28 th November - Review of Project, moderations and Development plans approved.

Objectives for the 6 th June…  To understand how idea of AFL can be included in transition work  Can use ideas of active engagement techniques, literacy support, modelling and pupil assessment to enhance SOW.  Can use VC training and guide to assist in training of staff in schools.  Know the types of ideas that can be used for future development projects of VC.
