ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Column Properties SETTING UP COLUMN PROPERTIES Keyboard ‘Down Arrow’ = Go forward Keyboard ‘Up Arrow’ = Go back Keyboard ‘ESC’ = Exit this Help Demo ‘Parameters 2’ Tab gives access to Parameters which control the presentation of the Text within the Column. Control Source determines where the Data is drawn from within Integrator’s Database. In this example, POS-NAME is the Data Field which contains the Data for the Organisation Position Name.

ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Column Properties SETTING UP COLUMN PROPERTIES Keyboard ‘Down Arrow’ = Go forward Keyboard ‘Up Arrow’ = Go back Keyboard ‘ESC’ = Exit this Help Demo Input Mask allows the User to force the Input to a pre-determined format – for example forcing the Case to Upper-Case, or limiting a Numeric input to 2 Decimal Places. In this example, the facility is not necessary for Data drawn from the Field POS_NAME.

ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Column Properties SETTING UP COLUMN PROPERTIES Keyboard ‘Down Arrow’ = Go forward Keyboard ‘Up Arrow’ = Go back Keyboard ‘ESC’ = Exit this Help Demo Format allows the Data to be reformatted to an alternative style – for example, Mixed-Case may be made to Upper-Case etc. Again, in this example, the facility is not necessary for Data drawn from the Field POS_NAME.

ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Column Properties SETTING UP COLUMN PROPERTIES Keyboard ‘Down Arrow’ = Go forward Keyboard ‘Up Arrow’ = Go back Keyboard ‘ESC’ = Exit this Help Demo Alignment allows the User to determine how the Data should be Aligned within the Column. The options available may be selected from the Drop Down List as illustrated… In this example, none of the options have been selected, meaning that the default of Middle Left will prevail.

ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Column Properties SETTING UP COLUMN PROPERTIES Keyboard ‘Down Arrow’ = Go forward Keyboard ‘Up Arrow’ = Go back Keyboard ‘ESC’ = Exit this Help Demo Sort Expression allows Data to be Sorted by a Formula rather than the standard means of Alpha or Numeric sorting. Again, in this example, the facility has not been used for Data drawn from the Field POS_NAME.

ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Column Properties SETTING UP COLUMN PROPERTIES Keyboard ‘Down Arrow’ = Go forward Keyboard ‘Up Arrow’ = Go back Keyboard ‘ESC’ = Exit this Help Demo Dynamic Back Colour allows the Background Colour of the cell to be Colour Formatted according to certain conditions called for by a Formula. In this example, the Formula is driving the POS_NAME field to Upper Case and looking for the word DIRECTOR – if found it is calling for a Background Colour of RGB(0,100,200). This effect is illustrated in the Column for Organisation – Position Name, where Directors are highlighted in the pre-formatted Blue as illustrated…. Note how the Names are also pre-formatted with the same Formula… The overall effect is to make it easy for the User to identify certain conditions without having to Read and Interpret the Data to do so.

ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Column Properties SETTING UP COLUMN PROPERTIES Keyboard ‘Down Arrow’ = Go forward Keyboard ‘Up Arrow’ = Go back Keyboard ‘ESC’ = Exit this Help Demo Dynamic Text Colour allows the Text Colour within a cell to be Colour Formatted according to certain conditions called for by a Formula. In this example, the Formula is driving the POS_NAME field to Upper Case and looking for the word DIRECTOR – if found it is calling for a Text Colour of White, being RGB(255,255,255). This effect is illustrated in the Column for Organisation – Position Name, where Director’s Positions have a White Text as illustrated…. Note how the Names are also pre-formatted with the same Formula… The overall effect is to make it easy for the User to identify certain conditions without having to Read and Interpret the Data to do so.

ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Column Properties SETTING UP COLUMN PROPERTIES Keyboard ‘Down Arrow’ = Go forward Keyboard ‘Up Arrow’ = Go back Keyboard ‘ESC’ = Exit this Help Demo Dynamic Bold and Dynamic Italic work in exactly the same manner as Back Colour and Text Colour – giving the User the opportunity to Conditionally Format the Text to appear as Bold or Italic under pre-determined conditions.

ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Column Properties SETTING UP COLUMN PROPERTIES Keyboard ‘Down Arrow’ = Go forward Keyboard ‘Up Arrow’ = Go back Keyboard ‘ESC’ = Exit this Help Demo These 4 Conditional Formatting features enable the Browser’s Data to be Visually Informative. An example of this could be Pre-formatting the ‘Date Started’ column with a ‘Traffic Light’ principle to indicate the state of an Employee’s Probation Period. In this example, the Dynamic Back Colour and Dynamic Text Colour are set to make the Data: Turn Green for the first part of an Employee’s Probation Period Turn Yellow for the last 5 Days of the Period Turn Red with White Text if they have gone beyond the Period and not had the Probation Tick-Box cleared. Used correctly, Users will frequently have conditions brought to their attention without even considering them.

ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Column Properties SETTING UP COLUMN PROPERTIES Keyboard ‘Down Arrow’ = Go forward Keyboard ‘Up Arrow’ = Go back Keyboard ‘ESC’ = Exit this Help Demo Without having to Read and Interpret the Data, Users can easily see… …who the Directors are… …if any Leavers are in the display… …who is working through their Probation Period… …who is nearing the end of their Probation Period… …and if any Employees have finished their Probation Period and not had a Review?
