Commitment from Schools You will have a mentor within your setting and their role would be : To ensure Apprentice is given appropriate workload To support Apprentice within their school setting and be point of contact for both Apprentice and Lead Tutor To attend an introductory briefing with Lead Tutor to outline program Where and when possible to observe and monitor performance of Apprentice Ensure Apprentice is given appropriate break times and access to lunch Access to a computer and important.

Evaluation of our programme from our young people David Bloomfield A10 Active ‘I cannot believe how much I have grown in one year, I came into this Apprenticeship not knowing what I wanted to do with my life, not knowing whether this was for me and if I wanted to go into university or not. Now, after all the hard work I have finally found my niche and it has been a pleasure to do this with the Sporting Futures Training Team. Value of programme to our Young People Become part of the Legacy workforce empowering them to i. Engage young people in healthy lifestyles, activities, competition, support with Teaching and Coaching ii. Support SGO workforce and CSP workforce for level 3 competitions Gain valuable employability skills, life skills, competency skills through work-based Learning Raised self-esteem and confidence i. Both the Apprentice and the young people with whom they work Increased pathway opportunities i. PE and Sports related pathways identified, access to Higher Education through vocational pathways, access to teaching through work-based learning Become Positive role models for young people through i. Peer to Peer support, extension of the Sports Ambassador programme, Citizens of tomorrow Raised aspiration Potential to support the local PE and School Sport networks as a vehicle for delivery of key programs 14

Wages Employed and hosted within a primary, secondary or special school Unless working for dual use facility which involves shift work You will be paid on Apprenticeship wages: Intermediate Apprenticeship ( Approx’) £80 a week for 52 weeks. You wont be expected to take holiday time during term time. 19 plus will be paid the same in their first year of an apprenticeship with a potential negotiated uplift for experience. Advanced Apprenticeship (Approx’) 19 plus in the second year of an apprenticeship will be paid £150 a week
