False Prophets Ezek. 13:3-9

The Immediate Context Some were prophesying there would be a swift return from captivity and that Jerusalem would not be taken by the Chaldeans They promised safety where there would be none – Ezek. 13:10-16

The Broader Application God has always condemned false prophecy – Deut. 18:20-22 Which is really just a lie – Prov. 6:16-19 But in this case is even worse – 1 Tim. 4:1-5, Eph. 5:6-10

For Us Today The Lord made Himself clear – Mark 13:21- 23, Matt. 24:36-42 Yet people still try to claim to be prophets – 1 John 4:1-6 God’s wrath will be on them just as it was on every false prophet before!
