LIBERO TRACKING SHEET INSTRUCTIONS The Libero Tracker (Assistant Scorekeeper): Records all Libero Replacements Records all Substitutions Helps the Scorkeeper with Subs (especially multiple subs) Rules of the Libero Not recorded as a Substitution Unlimited replacements If leaving the court, MUST sit out one dead ball before re‐entering If she does not, you MUST notify the second referee The player who the Libero replaced MUST replace her back on the court If she does not, you MUST notify the second referee Be aware of this: Coaches can sneak in an illegal substitution if you don’t pay attention!

Recording Libero Replacements on the Tracking Sheet When Libero enters the court, place an “L” behind the player whom she replaced. No slashes! When the player returns to the court and the Libero exits, place the “#” of the player returning behind the “L” Double Libero Replacement: Libero on Court, then moves to Serve Will be seen as 2 regular‐uniform players crossing in the Libero Replacement area as the Libero goes back to serve Libero may NOT exit the court and re‐enter. If she does, notify the second referee Done as double exchange: – 1. Player replaces libero (usually moving to right front) – 2. Libero replaces next server (moving to serve position) Libero Serving When the Libero serves, place a Triangle around the Serving Order Number (I,II,III,IV,V, or VI) Libero may ONLY serve in that one service position Record Substitutions Libero tracker also records all substitutions To record a sub, slash the player number exiting and write the player number entering behind it
