Regist-L Listserv Greetings from San Antonio! We are evaluating and formalizing our policy related to students’ leave of absence. Additionally, as part of this process, we will develop a leave of absence form that the student will complete to petition for the leave. If you have a leave of absence policy/form, would you send me the link to the policy and to the form?
Regist-L Listserv For those of you with graduate and undergraduate programs a few questions: Do you allow any graduate credits/courses to count in both the undergraduate and graduate programs for the same student? If yes, how many courses/credits? What regulates this (best practice, state mandate, internal policy, other)? Any suggestions going forward as I formulate and “defend” my position to the faculty assembly and graduate council?
TACRAO Listserv Good morning everyone. Quick question… Typically, classification is 0-29 hours completed for freshmen, for sophomores, for juniors, and 90 and above for seniors. Does anyone use anything different?
Regist-L Listserv How is your institution handling the online Registrar’s Report on the Common App? We just started doing them electronically this month and have run into some interesting difficulties. It seems that students can enter anyone’s address on the app and the request to fill out the Report will go to that person, regardless of who they are. It’s created a lot of confusion in our office, and with our students.
Regist-L Listserv I’m curious to know what most of you do for students taking courses at another institution. For instance, do you allow students within their last semester to take course at another institution? What approval process do you have in place for the course to transfer back to the home institution?
