S ummary I Genesis of the project : The French and international expertise IIThe success of the French initiative IIIThe objective of this new ranking IV The value-added of the Eduniversal Ranking of the Best Masters VMethodology and process

The genesis of the project : the French expertise Eduniversal is the French leader of the assessment of the academic programs since 2002 : Since 2002 : Evaluation of the best French Masters and MBA Since 2005 : Evaluation of the best French Teachers through the « Trophies of the Pedagogy » Since 2009 : Evaluation of the best French Bachelors Since 2009 : Evaluation of the best French Business and Engineering Schools

Since 2007, Eduniversal uses its knowledge in evaluation in 153 countries by implementing its « Eduniversal Evaluation System » to the worldwide level : 2007 : 1st Ranking of the 1,000 Best Business Schools in the world : 1st Ranking of the Best Masters and MBA in the world. The genesis of the project : the international expertise

Since 2005, Eduniversal ranks each year the 500 masters and MBA in around 50 specialties. To do so, we ask : More than Academic Managers Human Ressources Managers. Around Students. The rate of the students’ answers is close to 40% ! The success of the French initiative

The French Ranking of the Best Masters and MBA : Used each year as a reference by the French media (press and general and specialized websites). Published in a 1,500 pages guide given for free to the French students ( copies). Has its own website : meilleurs-masters.com. Has its own show only opened to the ranked schools and to the students willing to get into these high quality schools. The success of the French initiative

To identify the expertise and the specificities of the 1,000 schools of the Eduniversal Official Selection. To fulfill students’ needs, when they are looking for a specialization and when they want to study abroad. To fulfill Human Resources Managers’ needs looking for qualified young graduates from different specialties and from all over the world. The objectives of this new ranking

The only « ranking » evaluating the programs and not the schools. An approach by specialty and according to business criteria. A double objective : To inform the Human Resources Managers and Recruiters To inform the students and the executive managers willing to start again a program The value-added of this new ranking in comparison with the basic rankings

1/ The program’s NOTORIETY 2/ The 1st SALARY after the studies 3/ The SATISFACTION’ RATE of the students … And the BONUS POINTS The 3 criteria of the ranking

Notoriety / 5 points : 2,5 pts are given by SMBG team according to the opinions of HR Managers. 2,5 pts are given according to the number of the Eduniversal palmes of the school. Schools with 5 palmes : 2,5 pts Schools with 4 palmes : 2 pts Schools with 3 palmes : 1,5 pts Schools with 2 palmes : 1 pts Schools with 1 palme : 0,5 pts MARK / 5 The criterion of notoriety

Salary / 5 points: These points depend on the information given by the schools and the universities. The differences between the countries can be very important, so we index the salary given by the school to the average annual salary per inhabitant in the concerned country. These points will be assigned through a scale depending on the country but also according to the kind of program : Master or Executive MBA. MARK / 5 The criterion of the salary

This criterion is an important part of the added- value of the SMBG Ranking. Students having just finished their studies have to answer a questionnaire about the programs that they pursued. A mark is given when at least 10% of the students have answered the questionnaire. This survey on the student’s satisfaction regarding their studies is done by thanks to a platform only dedicated to this. The questionnaire is made of 11 questions. 1st and 2 nd question : 25 % each of the mark The 9 questions left : 50% of the mark. MARK / 5 The criterion of the student’s satisfaction

The 11 questions asked to the students : 1/ Are you globally satisfied with your studies? 2/ Would you do again the same choice of studies today ? 3/ Are you satisfied with the content of the academic program? 4/ Are you satisfied with the teaching staff ? 5/ Are you satisfied with the professionals who took part in your lectures? 6/ Are you satisfied with the means at your disposal to get an internship or a job? The criterion of the student’s satisfaction

7/ Are you satisfied with the network that you got thanks to your studies ? 8/ Are you satisfied with the schedule of your lectures, the number of hours, its organization, the amount of homework asked? 9/ Are you satisfied with the help provided to study or to work abroad ? 10/ Are you satisfied with the means at your disposal to learn (computers, Internet access, library) ? 11/ Are you satisfied with the way that your academic manager manages the program and promotes it ? The criterion of the student’s satisfaction

A system of « bonus points » will be set up to elaborate this ranking. NATIONALITES +0,10 pts to the programs with more than 7 different nationalities registered in their programs. +0,15 pts to the programs having more than 7 different nationalities from at least 3 different zones. ABROAD OPPORTUNITY + 0,25 pts to the programs which enable at least 20% of their graduates to do an internship or to work abroad (that is to say out of their home countries). STUDENTS’ PARTICIPATION + 0,05 points for the programs if 10% at least of the students answer the questionnaire and each time that 10% students more answer the questionnaire. BONUS POINTS The bonus points

The « penalties » on the criterion of « Satisfaction » There is a « penalties » system in the following circumstances : If no students’ list is given : a mark of 2,5/5 is automatically given to the program. If the 20% quota of students is not reached : a mark of 3,5/5 is automatically given to the program. PENALTIES The penalties
