Post-School Goals Upon graduation, high school supports naturally end and a new chapter of life begins. It is important to make sure senior year projects and credits are in order, and all graduation planning is completed prior to the end of the school year, to ensure there is a smooth transition of the student’s new goals.

Guidance/Schooling Are your credits in order for graduation? Is your Senior Project almost completed? When is Senior Project due? **Parents can check the school website to monitor Senior Project. They also assist with developing an online resume, job seeking and interview skills and reviewing the process of applying for jobs.

Social Security Programs Many learning support students are eligible for Social Security Benefits. There are social security programs that are designed to assist students while they are making the transition from high school to post- secondary school or employment and trying to get on their feet. Many times, students may not be accepted for social security benefits and may have to apply up to 4 times to get benefits. Even though students may not want to be on social security or rely on social security for support, it can be a helpful alternative through the transition years to assist with gas and transportation, food, health care, school books, etc. The New Castle Social Security number is
