AAP Taskforce on Mental Health Recommendations anticipated in late 2007/early Tasks included: –Tool kit - How to screen, diagnose, and treat 4-5 most common MH conditions. –Create a training to accompany the tool kit to educate pediatricians on screening, diagnosis, treatment, cultural effectiveness –Create a screening tool or approach to assist in evaluating the family's wellness. –Develop and disseminate educational material to parents on the appropriate stages of child development, parenting methods, and where to seek help if mental health treatment is needed. ‘Anticipate state AAP Chapters will be instrumental in implementing many of the recommendations.’
