Issues created by internal causes: ●Reversing Sub-Optimization – for years, we’ve developed BI environments “in spite of” underperforming tools. ●Managing “Chartjunk” – Experience should have taught us by now that needless data absolutely diminishes the value of BI analytics. ●Redefining ODS – We need to view our operational data stores as a strategic asset rather than passive storage of historical data ●Buy vs. Build – Despite a lot of historical resistance to buy components versus build it yourself, most firms now consider their buy alternatives as advantageous.
