From restaurants, businesses and hotels you can get the details on theBBVChamber2Go Smartphone app. The app is available for iPhone, Android and mobile web for Blackberry. The particulars about special events, like First Friday, can be found right on your phone. And you can easily discover what's around you with the "Near Me" feature. “They put in that category and if you're a chamber member you will be listed with pinpoints on the map, so if you're looking for a restaurant click on the pinpoint and you'll get the address and phone number," says Tammy Thurow, Chamber VP of Marketing. You can even save a buck or two on the app using business member's coupons. The chamber says the new app will make navigating the city easier for residents and visitors. “I think that everybody now kind of lives with their smart phones, and that's the way the World is going. So, for us an blast is great but an app that somebody can tap on their phone pull up the information and go from there is just terrific," says Ed Clifford, Chamber President.
