Interactive Media - Search for new worlds, drive a rover, keep an eye on space rocks, chat with NASA, tour the cosmos, join a team of scientists to plan a mission to Mars, and more. You can see the flight path the Space Shuttle takes when it lands, or find orbital tracking data for the International Space Station and Space Shuttle. Models - The Cassini/Huygens Spacecraft, Hubble Space Telescope, and Mars spacecraft are just a few of the models that you can download and assemble. Check out these sites with skill levels that range from beginner to advanced. Central Operation of Resources for Educators (CORE - Educational materials such as videotape programs, slide sets, CD-ROMs, and DVDs are available for a minimal fee from CORE. CORE is a worldwide distribution center for NASA’s educational multimedia materials. NASA Liftoff to Learning Video Tape Series - is a sixteen-part videotape series. The videos contain footage from space flights, and each program comes with a printed video resource guide that provides valuable background information for teachers, resources for additional study, and practical hands-on demonstrations of some of the concepts presented in the videotapes. NASA’s Kids Science News Network (KSNN) - is a Web- and video-based program for everyone: students, educators, parents, or anyone else who wants to know why things work or what makes things happen. The target audience is K-5. Each broadcast is presented in an inquiry- based format that begins with a 1-minute, “streaming” video newsbreak from the KSNN Web site and is then followed up with a collection of resources. All programs are available in English and Spanish. NASA SCIence Files Series TM - is a series of 60-minute instructional programs that are free, interactive, closed-captioned, and standards- based. Each program is designed to integrate math, science, geography, and technology in grades 3-5. The broadcasts are accompanied by Web-based resources for students, educators and parents. NASA_CONNE - is a series of 30-minute instructional programs that are free, interactive, closed-captioned, and standards-based. Each program uses NASA projects, facilities, and researchers to emphasize mathematics, science, geography, and technology in grades 5-8. Each show has a lesson guide, a classroom activity, and a Web-based component. NASA LIVE - is a series of synchronous (two-way) videoconferencing programs for learning, instructional enrichment, and professional development for students and faculty by engaging them in an interactive, virtual environment with NASA researchers. Educators (K- 12) and college/university faculty, college/university students, professional organizations, and student organizations may schedule a videoconference.
