Government’s Policies and Attitudes  Our system is broken, it effects:  The welfare of our Society  The Business Sector  Our Population

Citizenship Undocumented Entrance  Smuggled in  Overstaying your visa limit  Ramped up border patrol and fencing to keep people from coming here How hard it is to get in to the US legally  ‘The U.S. immigration process can be frustrating for her and her clients, as well as the dozens of people who walk into her office seeking help only to be told that there is nothing she can do because of the way the law is set up and how the individual arrived in the country (Herras).’

Employers hiring Illegal Immigrants - similar skill set between legal and illegal employees - decline in fines imposed on employers who hire illegal immigrants - economy downturn - competitive industry - capitalistic and profit driven economy - discrimination against people of similar heritage to undocumented workers

Policy State Level Policy  Arizona state law  5,000 bills introduced  250 adopted as resolutions  800 enacted into law Federal Policy  Ruled Arizona state law unconstitutional  Block most of State level policy  Monopolize the right to make policy for immigration
