High Five Corporations Chain of fast food restaurants Using Windows XP for clients and Windows Server 2008 Needs a robust server system that could grow with the company. Headquartered in Chicago, United States

Security loopholes exist in it hence it is easily affected by virus and spyware. It is expensive to purchase. Prone to crashes and hence unstable. It is very heavy system and old hardware can’t run it. Comes with single user license so it can’t be loaded on multiple PCs. Challenges

Windows Server 2008Linux Stability Requires reboot constantlyLinux servers can go for months without the need for a reboot. Choice Windows ecosystem provides customers with more choice than any other server platform Linux is just the operating system kernel—so IT organizations run commercial distributions, such as Red Hat not just ‘Linux’. Performance Operating system is good enough, comparable to Linux in low stress conditions. Linux servers under high load are superior to Windows Scalability Easily adapt to growing needs. Not always 100% compatible with Microsoft technologies. Price Quite expensive platform. A free operating system to download, install and operate.

Windows XP Ubuntu Security Attacks have the most serious effect on Windows machines. Linux's design is not vulnerable in the same ways Ready To Use Windows just comes with the basics like calculator Ubuntu comes with all the software pre-installed User-Friendly It is aesthetically pleasing, menus are easy to find. It requires patience as well as a strong learning curve. Hardware Windows typically requires frequent hardware upgrades Can be easily reconfigured to include only the services needed. Software Windows XP has a huge library of compatible software titles and tools The substitute software may or may not be able to do specific functions that we want.
