Client We can say clients are the daily bases Local Area Network (LAN). They are the computers that just sit on your desk. More specifically, clients are the devices that the end users interact with to manage their information on the cloud. Generally they fall in three categories. Mobile, thin and thick. eITnotes.com

Lets explain these points: Client: mobile devices include smart phones. Thin: these type of clients don’t have internal hard disk. Thick: this type of client is a regular computer using a web browser to connect to the cloud. Thin clients are becoming a popular solution because of their price and environment eITnotes.com

Datacenter Datacenter is collection of servers where the application to which you subscribe is housed. It could be a large room in the basement of your building or a room full of servers on the other side of the world that you access via internet. Note: the number of virtual servers that can exist on the physical server depends on the size and speed of physical server. eITnotes.com

Distributed servers Servers need not to be housed in same location. Often servers are in geographically disparate locations. But to you, these servers act as if they are humming around each other. This gives the service provider more flexibility and security. For example Google has its servers all around the world. Services The term services in cloud computing is the concept of being able to use reusable, fine-grained components across the vendors network. This is widely known as “as a service”. There are three types of services: Software as a service Platform as a service Hardware as a service eITnotes.com

Software Software as a Service (SaaS) is the model in which application is hosted as a service to the customers who access it via internet. When the software is hosted offsite the customer does not have to maintain it or support it. On the other hand it is out of customers hands when the hosting service decides to change. Front end Front end is used for collecting input in various forms from the user and processing it to conform to a specification the back end can use. The front end is the interface between user and the back end. The front and back ends may be distributed amongst one or more systems. eITnotes.com

Back end Back end is used to collect the data coming from the user or client which is known as requests. Then these data are processed and after processing the data the server (back end) retransmit the request back to the client through front end (browser).
