DOMAIN IV: Professional Responsibilities in Support of Differentiated Instruction and Assessment I believe that all children are willing to learn. They want to learn new information, and participate in different activities. I believe that it will be easy to differentiate and tie all lessons together. I believe that there will be enough time to cover everything that I need to. I believe that you need to have classroom management. Each child is not always eager to learn, and give their best. They might have had a rough morning, been yelled at, dislike school, or they don’t feel well. Children are not “impossible”, they just need more encouragement, and someone to believe in them. You always have to be flexible. There are always changes in curriculum, the way things are to be taught, your schedule, and even lessons. Always have a backup in case you need one. Classroom management is always important. You need to have both verbal and non-verbal communication skills with your students. This way problems can be solved with a simple gesture. Teaching is the most rewarding job out there. You touch not only the lives of your students, but the other students you engage with, and the parents and faculty

Part 3. Conclusion I believe that one of my challenges will be finding a job in a smaller school system. I also believe that one of my challenges will be balancing my home and work. This was a real challenge this time. I also believe that another challenge will be my emotions. I don’t need to let criticisms affect me, and bring my confidence down.

Summary I believe that the Candidate teaching experience as a whole was a good experience. I have learned a lot, and I have developed a couple of professional relationships. Even though there were a couple of rough patches with my collaborating teacher, I still believe that this was a good experience. I am now confident when I write my lesson plans, and tying units together. I am also confident when it comes to leading a classroom, and teaching them full day. As a professional, I plan on improving in any way possible. I will go to Professional Learning Day’s, in-services, and read/browse recommended books. I will enlist in the help of my fellow colleagues, and friends that I have made here at Reinhardt. I also plan on obtaining my Masters at some point.
