Christmas Christmas Sing-a-long

by by Jeanie Johnson

Go, Tell It on the Mountain

Go, tell it on the mountain,

Over the hills and Everywhere;

Go, tell it on the mountain

That Jesus Christ is born.

While shepherds kept their watching

O’er silent flocks by night,

Behold, throughout the heavens

There shone a holy light.

Go, tell it on the mountain,

Over the hills and Everywhere;

Go, tell it on the mountain

That Jesus Christ is born.

Down in a lowly manger

The humble Christ was born.

And God sent us salvation

That blessed Christmas morn.

Go, tell it on the mountain,

Over the hills and Everywhere;

Go, tell it on the mountain

That Jesus Christ is born.

Angels We Have Heard on High

Angels we have heard on high

Sweetly singing o’re The plains,

And the mountains in reply

Echo back their Joyous strains.

Glo ria! In excelsis Deo.

Glo ria! In excelsis Deo.

See within a manger laid

Jesus, Lord of Heaven and earth!

Mary, Joseph, lend your aid,

With us sing our Savior’s birth.

Glo ria! In excelsis Deo.

Glo ria! In excelsis Deo.

Away in a Manger

Away in a manger, No crib for a bed,

The little Lord Jesus laid down His sweet head;

The stars in the sky looked down where He lay,

The Little Lord Jesus, asleep on the hay.

The cattle are lowing, the Baby awakes

But little Lord Jesus No crying he makes.

I love Thee, Lord Jesus, look down from the sky,

And stay by my cradle till morning is nigh.

Deck the Halls

Deck the Halls with Boughs of Holly.

Fa la la la la la la la la.

‘Tis the season to be jolly,

Fa la la la la la la la la.

Don we now our gay apparel,

Fa la la la la la la la la.

Troll the ancient Yuletide carol,

Fa la la la la la la la la.

Fast away the old year passes,

Fa la la la la la la la la.

Hail the new, ye lads and lasses,

Fa la la la la la la la la.

Sing we joyous all together,

Fa la la la la la la la la.

Heedless of the wind and weather,

Fa la la la la la la la la.

The First Noel

The first Noel the angel did say,

Was to certain poor shepherds in fields as they lay;

In fields where they lay keeping their sheep,

On a cold winter’s night that was so deep.

Noel, Noel,

Born is the King of Israel.

They looked up and saw a star

Shining in the East, Beyond them far;

And to the earth It gave great light,

And so it continued both day and night.

Noel, Noel,

Born is the King of Israel.

Noel, Noel,

Born is the King of Israel.

Frosty, the Snowman

Frosty, the snowman was a jolly happy soul,

With a corn cob pipe and a button nose and two eyes made out of coal.

Frosty, the snowman is a fairy tale, they say,

He was made of snow, but the children know

How he came to life one day.

There must have been some magic in that old silk hat they found;

For when they placed it on his head,

He began to dance around.

Oh, Frosty, the snowman was alive as he could be,

And the children say he could laugh and play just the same as you and me.

Frosty, the snowman knew the sun was hot that day,

So he said, “Let’s run and we’ll have some fun now before I melt away.”

Down to the village, with a broomstick in his hand,

Running here and there all around the square sayin’ “Catch me if you can.”

He led them down the streets of town right to the traffic cop,

And he only paused a moment when he heard him holler “stop!”

Frosty, the snowman had to hurry on his way,

But he waved goodbye, sayin’, “Don’t you cry, I’ll be back again someday.”

Thumpety Thump, thump Thumpety Thump, thump.

Look at Frosty go!

Thumpety Thump, thump Thumpety Thump, thump.

Over the hills OfSnow.

Thumpety Thump, thump Thumpety Thump, thump.

Look at Frosty go!

Thumpety Thump, thump Thumpety Thump, thump.

Over the hills OfSnow.

Hark! The Herald Angels Sing

Hark! The herald angels sing,

Glory to the newborn King;

Peace on earth, and mercy mild,

God and sinners reconciled!

Joyful, all ye nations rise,

Join the triumph of the skies;

With the angelic host proclaim,

“Christ is born in Bethlehem!”

Hark! The herald angels sing,

Glory to the newborn King;

Jingle Bells

Dashing through the snow in a one-horse open sleigh,

O’re the fields we go, laughing all the way.

Bells on bobtail ring, making spirits bright.

What fun it is to ride and sing a sleighing song tonight!

Jingle bells, Jingle all the way!

Oh, what fun it is to ride in a one-horse Open sleigh.

Jingle bells, Jingle all the way!

Oh, what fun it is to ride in a one-horse Open sleigh.

A day or two ago, I thought I’d take a ride,

And soon Miss Fanny Bright was seated by my side.

The horse was lean and lank; misfortune seemed her lot.

She got into a drifted bank; and we, we got upsot.

Jingle bells, Jingle all the way!

Oh, what fun it is to ride in a one-horse Open sleigh.

Jingle bells, Jingle all the way!

Oh, what fun it is to ride in a one-horse Open sleigh.

Jingle Bell Rock

Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock

Jingle bell swing and Jingle bell ring!

Snowin’ and blowin’ up bushels of fun,

Now the jingle-hop Has begun.

Jingle bell, jingle bell, Jingle bell rock

Jingle bells chime in Jingle bell time.

Dancin’ and prancin’ In Jingle Bell Square In the frosty air.

What a bright time, It’s the right time to Rock the night away.

Jingle bell time Is a swell time

To go glidin’ in a One-horse sleigh!

Giddyap, jingle horse, Pick up your feet,

Jingle around the clock!

Mix and mingle in a Jinglin’ beat,

That’s the jingle-bell

Listen to the jinglin’

That’s the jingle-bell Rock!

O Come All Ye Faithful

O come, all ye faithful, Joyful and triumphant;

O come ye, To Bethlehem.

Come and behold Him, Born the King of angels;

O come let us adore Him,

Christ the Lord

Sing, choirs of angels, Sing in exultation!

O sing, all ye bright hosts of heaven above!

Glory to God, all glory In the highest!

O come let us adore Him,

Christ the Lord

Silver Bells

City sidewalks, Busy sidewalks, Dressed in holiday style, style,

In the air there’s a Feeling of Christmas!

Children laughing, People passing, Meeting smile After smile,

And on every street corner you hear: And on every street corner you hear:

Silver bells, It’s Christmas time In the city.

Ring-a-ling, Hear them ring. Soon it will be Christmas Day!

Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer

You know Dasher, and Dancer, and Prancer, and Vixen…

Comet, and Cupid, and Donner, and Blitzen;

But do you recall the Most famous reindeer of all?

Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer Had a very shiny nose.

And if you ever saw it, You would even say it glowed.

All of the other reindeer used to laugh and call him names.

They never let poor Rudolph join in any Reindeer games.

Then one foggy Christmas Eve, Santa came to say,

Rudolph with your Nose so bright,

Won’t you guide my sleigh tonight?

Then how the reindeer loved him as they shouted out with glee,

Rudolph, the red-nosedreindeer,

You’ll go Down in History.

You’ll go Down in History.

You’ll go down in

His - to - ry.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town

Oh, you better watch out; you better not cry;

You better not pout. I’m telling you why:

Santa Claus is coming to Town.

He’s making a list, a list, Checking it Twice,

Gonna find out who’s naughty and nice,

Santa Claus is coming to Town.

He sees you when you’re sleeping.

He knows when you’re awake.

He knows if you’ve been bad or good

So be good, For goodness Sake.

Oh, you better watch out; you better not cry;

You better not pout. I’m telling you why:

Santa Claus is coming to Town.
