 Between the continent Europe and Asia  Capital: Ankara  Population: Around 73 millions  Neighbours: Syria, Iraq, Iran, Armenia, Georgia, Bulgaria, Greece  The Biggest City: Istanbul (around 15 millions)

 Developing country,  Mixture of various cultures,  Around half of the population under 30,  Strong family relations, traditions,  Lack of awareness about sustainability and environment,

Lack of trust within the society…

 Earth Charter does not mention about trust explicitly,  However, the term exists in the Preamble part and it implictly takes place within the Charter.

 Youth  High school and University students,  Young professionals from different sectors ( government, business, NGOs, etc. )

The project aims; to strengthen the bonds between the people and raise awareness about the importance of trust in a society towards sustainability…

In a sustainable society, people should live in harmony in the nature, as well as their values for sustainability should not be undermined by different factors. There is an urgent need to carry out such project since scientific data is not really optimistic about the sustainability challange…

 1 year (implementation)

 Trainings for Youth  Trainings to educate young people about the role of trust within a sustainable society. (first 6 months) ▪ Earth Charter will be a tool to be used (as a framework)  Training of trainers  After six months, some of the participants will be selected to be trained as trainers on the issue. ▪ By this way, a network of trainers can be established and there would be a resource for future projects.

 Dependent on the number of the trainings and participants, as well as the region to be selected for the trainings.
