Shakespeare’s Life Biography William Shakespeare was born on April 23, He lived in a country named England. His town was Stratford – on – Avon. Avon is a famous river in England. When young William was 18 years old, he married a girl named Anne Hathaway. They had 3 children. William Shakespeare wrote plays and poems. He wrote 37 plays. His plays were either comedies or tragedies. Most people think his most famous play is “Hamlet”. Hamlet was a young Prince.
Shakespeare wrote his plays and poems with a quill. He did not have electricity. At night he wrote by candlelight. His many plays were performed on a stage in the Globe Theatre. William Shakespeare died on April 23, 1616.
