Welcome to ACT/SAT Information Night!

College Entrance Exams Standardized assessments necessary for admission to college Also required for some scholarship applications Usually takes approximately 3 – 3 ½ hours to complete

National college entrance exam which tests achievement related to high school curriculum English, mathematics, reading, science, and writing (optional) 2 hours and 55 minutes OR 3 hours and 25 minutes (w/ writing section) $38 OR $54.50 fee (w/ writing)

How is the SAT scored? Each section score is reported on a 200- to 800- point scale, in 10-point increments, where 200 is the lowest score and 800 is the highest Scale score is computed by first establishing the raw score: For each correct answer, one point is earned. For a wrong answer to a multiple choice question, ¼ point is deducted. No points are deducted for unanswered questions or for wrong answers to math student-produced response questions.
