What are Webclips? Webclips are the iPad version of shortcuts. Many of the websites we use often will be added as webclips to the student iPads. However, in the beginning, due to the nature of our browser, we are having these websites “Bookmarked” instead. Bookmarks are the equivalent of “Favorites” in your browser. Webclips will be added after the first recall in November.

How Apps Will Be Chosen : Teachers who wish to have apps added to the iPads would forward their request to Christy/Mary Beth one week before the monthly Tech Meeting (times and dates TBA), to allow them the opportunity to review the apps. App requests would be reviewed at the Tech meetings; once approved, they would be added to the iPads. The first iPad app update will be most likely be the week of parent- teacher conferences. Future recalls will be determined by the tech team as needed. Free apps will not be a problem-if the app costs money, then the team will have to look at budget considerations. If the app is free and contains ads, this will also have to be reviewed by the team and could cause a delay.
