Project Management Office

Scrum - Roles 1 The Development Team is responsible for delivering potentially shippable product increments at the end of each Sprint (the Sprint Goal). A Team is made up of 3–9 individuals with cross-functional skills who do the actual work (analyse, design, develop, test, technical communication, document, etc.). The Development Team in Scrum is self-organizing, even though there may be some level of interface with project management offices (PMOs).

Project portfolio management 1 Project Portfolio Management (PPM) is the centralized management of processes, methods, and technologies used by project managers and project management offices (PMOs) to analyze and collectively manage a group of current or proposed projects based on numerous key characteristics

Program management 1 Typically in a program there is a need to identify and manage cross-project dependencies and often the PMO (Program or Project Management Office) may not have sufficient insight of the risk, issues, requirements, design or solution to be able to usefully manage these

P3O 1 'P3O' is the guidance published by the Office of Government Commerce, a department in the UK Government, to help organisations implement Ministry (government department)|Portfolio, Programme and project management Offices (P3O).

Glossary of project management - P 1 * 'Project management office': The Project management office in a business or professional enterprise is the department or group that defines and maintains the standards of process, generally related to project management, within the organization. The PMO strives to standardize and introduce economies of repetition in the execution of projects. Six Sigma for ROI 1 Six Sigma for ROI deals with current limitation of Return on Investment (ROI) measurement, Six Sigma, and the Project Management Office (PMO)

Scrum (management) - Development Team 1 The Development Team is responsible for delivering potentially shippable increments (PSIs) of product at the end of each Sprint (the Sprint Goal). A Team is made up of 3–9 individuals with cross-functional skills who do the actual work (analyse, design, develop, test, technical communication, document, etc.). The Development Team in Scrum is self-organizing, even though there may be some level of interface with project management offices (PMOs).

Project Management Office 1 A 'Project Management Office', abbreviated to 'PMO', is a group or department within a business, agency or Company|enterprise that defines and maintains standards for project management within the organization

Enterprise project management 1 Typically, organizations that adopt an Enterprise Project Management way of working, might set up a Project Management Office (PMO)/ Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO), which is said to be more successful than a traditional PMO in addressing the priorities of the organization as its scope is enterprise-wide[ strategic-importance-of-the-enterprise-project-management- office The Strategic Importance of the Enterprise Project Management Office] Accessed: ), might select and adopt a Project Management Methodology like PRINCE2, Project Management Body of Knowledge|PMBOK (or create a proprietary method) or follow the concepts of [ IPMA] Competence Baseline as a foundation for development and certification of project managers and their knowledge, experience and behaviour

Transition (outsourcing) - Transition Approach 1 The transition team executes a formal hand- off to the steady state Project management office|PMO and confirms that the service operations are stable and measure and report service performance. Ideally, the transition team remains engaged through the actualization period when service has stabilized. Once in the steady state, optimization efforts should commence to improve and adjust to changing business drivers.

Program (management) 1 In a program there is a need to identify and manage cross-project dependencies and often the PMO (Program or Project Management Office) may not have sufficient insight of the risk, issues, requirements, design or solution to be able to usefully manage these

Reconstruction of Iraq - Administration of Iraq reconstruction 1 Within the CPA the Project Management Office (PMO) was created to manage reconstruction projects
