Training for Managers & Supervisors

By the end of this training, managers will be able to: Log in to the Performance Management system Navigate the menus and task list Assign multi-rater evaluations Complete and submit an evaluation Create and assign individual development goals Learning Objectives

Performance Manager Logging In to the System Links on IKE and HR Portal Use Network ID and Password Enter ID as Elliot\username

Performance Manager Menus and Task List Your information Employee List Default view = Task List (Access from My Folder>Tasks)

Performance Manager Task List Due date – changes to red when overdue Some tasks include subtasks – click arrow to expand Icons indicate status of subtasks (see legend)

For annual appraisals: Managers = 60, 30 and 15 days prior Staff = 60, 45 and 30 days prior BOTH = daily reminders after due date if still incomplete Reminders Performance Manager

Assigning Multi-Rater Evaluations Performance Manager Uncheck if not doing at this time Change Due Date as desired

Completing Manager Appraisals Performance Manager

Completing Manager Appraisals Performance Manager Select a rating for each item REMINDER: ND and DP require comments Click comment icon to add to a QP rating

Completing Manager Appraisals Performance Manager Utilize the “floating toolbar” to: Save your work Spell-check Access employee’s file to view previous appraisals, goals, and any documents you’ve attached Print or save to pdf Switch between manager view and employee view

Completing Manager Appraisals Performance Manager If employee has completed self- appraisal, will see their rating and comments If multi-rater(s) have completed, will see their rating and comments To copy comments from the employee and/or a multi- rater, click the copy link. NOTE: Only you can see the multi-rater appraisals and comments. If you copy text, the employee will only see what’s copied and not the commenter’s name.

Submitting Manager Appraisals Performance Manager 1.Once your appraisal is complete, click Save and Send 2.Routing window appears. Choose your business partner from dropdown list. 3.When business partner reviews and accepts, will appear on your task list again. Open task and click Save and Send to send to employee. 4.Review together and have the employee sign off.

Creating & Assigning Goals Performance Manager Type = Individual Enter Title, Details, Measure, and Due Date Save & Send will go to Employee’s Task List
