Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority is offering different blend courses enabling students to work in any environment e.g. office, banks, multinational companies, factories, software houses and the most important part is it prepare them for Entrepreneurship and to earn at their own edge. Description of different courses offered at GTTI(W), Township are listing below. Office Management Assistant Course. Architect Designing Course. Diploma in Associate Engineering. Diploma of Commerce. Certificate in Computer Application.

Office Management Assistant Course (1yr) Program This program has been designed to prepare professionals having the link of the theoretical knowledge string with the contextual knowledge. After getting training under this course the trainees will have the advantage to work in any office environment and also they will be able to earn at their own edge.

CLASS ROOM RULES & EXPECTATIONS

RULES OF ATTENDANCE Before presenting the rules of attendance I want to discuss the importance & it’s preparation. Importance: To keep the record of daily attendance of students. Preparation: It involves on the Personal Preparation Institutional Preparation Class room Preparation

Rules & Regulations of Attendance Following are some major rules & regulations of attendance. Requirement of attendance for this course is 80%. 10 marks will be given in final exams to students who are having 80% attendance. Fine will be charged of Rs.50/-per day on absence from class with out intimation. Fine will be charged of Rs.50/-per lecture when student will go to bunk any class. Leave must be submitted in class on absence. Medical certificate should be submitted by student on three consecutive leaves.

Motivational Factors to Improve Attendance of Students Students can improve their attendance by keeping in view the following motivational factors. These are as follows. Gift of books of amounting Rs.250/- will be given to students on maintaining above than 80% attendance. On class notice board name of “Student of the Month” shall be displayed. Student will be awarded by an “Appreciation Certificate” on maintaining above than 80% attendance.

PARTICIPATION Importance: Participation by positive means in a class by students is a healthy habit it encourages students to learn more and develop communication skills and also enviable skills among them. It helps out in developing a suitable learning among students. It helps out to perform specific activities for a project/assignments. It assist students in developing the new knowledge. Participation Environment: The Participation environment in a class must be positive and healthy and not like creating a fuss among students.

Here are some points which a student should keep in his/her mind while participating in a class.  It is necessary for all students to participate in class discussions.  Students should be proactive in class.  Students should ask the relevant question from Teacher/Instructor.  Students must answer the questions asked by teacher.  Don’t discuss with other students while teacher is giving lecture.

Contd…  Student must keep silence and non-verbal cues while teacher is delivering lecture.  Students should allow one an other to speak on their own turn.  Student should not take criticism of other students as personal.  Students must maintain decorum of class while participation.  There must be two-way communication in class.  Students must participate in extra- curricular activities. e.g. Sports, Debates, Inter collegiate functions etc..

EXPECTATIONS Generally teachers/instructors will have the following expectations from their class. These can be divided into two main parts. Educational Expectation from students Social Expectation from students.

Educational Expectations Perspective  He/she must be attentive.  There must be positive interaction among teachers & students.  Student should remembers the lesson, statements, quotes deliver by the teacher.  Student should memorize the content when needed. Social Expectation Perspective  Student should be punctual.  He/She respect the teachers as well as his/her peers.  Student must be a disciplined and having civilized behavior.  Student must keep in view the ethical values.  Student must cooperate and collaborate with other students.  There must be silence and non verbal cues when teacher is delivering lecture or demonstration.

ASSESSMENT Assessment involves justifying a decision, course of action, or checking to what you have taught to your students or trainees. In other words assessment is a procedure in which u can assess the knowledge level of a student or learner it can be check out with two methods. Contd… In Formative Assessment we evaluate students on basis of different curriculum, quiz programs, project, presentations, class participation, group discussions, assignments and attendance. It is mainly assessed during the class. The detailed criteria of marks for this assessment method is given below. Write a formal letter to Mr. Atif Ahmed editor Akhbar-e-jehan asking him about the exact address of distributors in Allama Iqbal Town, Lhr. Assignment cum Project: Visit purchase dept of “Nestle” head office and submit an executive summary for that.
