 Introductions  Poor Posture & Pain  Maintaining Proper Posture  Stretching to Alleviate Pain  Simple Stretches for the Office Worker ( Demonstration/Interactive session )  Assistive Devices (Posture Medic)  BodyMend Wellness Clinic Resources

 Create an awareness of connection between poor posture and the development of pain for the office worker  Identify solutions for preventing poor posture  Introduce simple stretches to help alleviate and prevent pain

Poor posture includes:  Shoulders hunched forward  Slouched back  Tense shoulders Can lead to the development of migraine headaches, tension headaches & back pain

Try to be aware of your posture…  Shoulders down, and back  Sit up straight, lengthen your spine  Ensure good back support (supportive chair/cushion)  Take short stretch breaks

 Be mindful of your posture  Take minutes each day at work to stretch  Keep well-hydrated; water helps to flush out toxins.
