PUT Decomposing waste IN GREEN DUST BIN PUT Non decomposing waste IN BLUE DUST BIN

DEALING WITH GARBAGE 1. SORT OUT THE WASTE THAT CAN NOT BE DECOMPOSED. 2. FROM THESE, SEPARATE THE USEFUL MATERIALS.

3 .RECYCLE THE USEFUL MATERIALS.

4.DISPOSE THE USELESS NON-DECOMPOSING MATERIALS IN LANDFILLS LAND FILLS ARE AREA WHERE THE GARBAGE COLLECTED FROM A CITY IS BURIED .

5. DECOMPOSING WASTE CAN BE PUT IN COMPOST PITS CONVERTING PLANT AND ANIMAL WASTE INTO MANURE USING EARTHWORMS IS CALLED VERMICOMPOSTING.

6. BURNING WASTES POLLUTES AIR DON,T DO THAT

VERMICOMPOSTING METHOD OF PREPARING COMPOST USING EARTH WORMS. 1.DIG A PIT OR TAKE A WOODEN BOX SPREAD A NET OR MESH AT THE BOTTOM. SPREAD SAND.

2.SPREAD VEGETABLEWASTE.LEAVES etc. 3.sprinklewater. Do not press the waste 4.PUT EARTH WORMS AND COVER THEM WITH A GUNNYBAG. 5.After 3-4 weeks, earth worms turn the waste to manure.

VEERMICOMPOST

PRECAUTION DONOT PUT SALT,VINEGAR, OIL MEAT, MILK etc. AVIOD TOO MUCH HOT/COLD SURROUNDINGS. MIXTURE MUST BE LOOSE FOR PROPER AERATION

RED WORMS

RECYCLE PAPER Recycled paper, paper bags

ADVANTAGES OF PLASTICS Used to make many useful materials in day today life. Lightweight Strong Colour ful Cheap Easy to transport

DISADVANTAGES OF PLASTIC Plastic waste can block drains Plastic enter into the digestive system of animals can kill them. Some plastics are toxic. Plastic waste the destroy the scenic beauty of a place. Plastic waste do not decompose .So it is difficult to dispose plastic waste.

4.DONOT THROW OR BURN PLASTICS IT CAN BLOCK DRAINS, CAUSE POLLUTION BE EATEN BY ANIMALS etc.

5.DO NOT PUT GARBAGE IN PLASTIC BAGS AND THROW AWAY.

7.DO VERMICOMPOSTING

8.RECYCLE WASTE PAPER
