WHAT DO YOU WANT TO LEARN TODAY?

Deploying UC: What About My Network? The current wave of UC and converged communications innovation is taking place in the SMB/SME segment, a technology/innovation-oriented segment that is looking for new, effective ways of optimizing their voice, data and video communications. Yet, these businesses face a major challenge — before UC applications can be deployed, the network architecture must be in place. In order to effectively deploy multiple real-time applications and services, SMBs must figure out a way to optimize last mile access to the IP network. Other considerations include QoS, security and bandwidth needs, as well as how to serve mobile workers through integrated wireless premise solutions.

1.Why has implementation and migration of VOIP been much slower then slower then originally projected? 2.Will the recession speed up the migration or slow it down? 3.Are actual customers truly aware of the opportunities and also the challenges? 4.Why are so many dealers and resellers so poorly trained (or is training a barrier)? Deploying UC: What About My Network?

Can wee speed the market? Where are the opportunities to growth? QoS? Vendors? Infrastructure? Deploying UC: What About My Network?

What are the barriers? From Kim we have these questions… 1.How can a customer proactively know if their VoIP performance is good or bad – without having to hear directly from the end user? 2.Does Microsoft’s use of wideband codecs in OCS create any challenges for the user? 3.Is QoS required when deploying VoIP? Deploying UC: What About My Network?
