Memories in Tyme Teaching you how to create your own style of albums on a budget!

Teaching Lynda has been stamping for over 20 years, and scrapbooking for over 13 years now! Lynda is certified to teach through Spotted Canary and teaches at home in her local area and online. Classes are 4 weeks long, you learn many techniques and things during the time you are in class! Teaching includes scrapbook pages, handmade cards and altered/gift items. We will come to you with a minimum of 5 people paid up front.

Why do you want to scrapbook To preserve your families heritage To preserve YOUR heritage To stay sane – great if used for therapy reasons As a great creative outlet To hang out with friends To leave your personal mark on the world What else will you do with paper, scissors, stickers and glue? Because it makes the kids feel special Because handmade gifts are always BEST The economy is really hard right now – use up all those supplies you’ve already bought

Supplies Paper Trimmer Scissors Ruler Craft knife Paper/kits Punches Stickers/die cuts Markers or Colored pencils Pen/pencil Eraser Basic color wheel Templates ( especially alpha) Stamps Magazines Organizational tools Albums (various sizes)

Beginner Classes designed to help you get started, based on your style of scrapbooking, not mine! I have been able to scrapbook for over 9 years on what I have at home and available to me. I will show you all the cost saving tips I have found along the way! Look at photos you will be able to scrapbook over and over again such as birthdays, Christmas, Thanksgiving, and school events. We will kick it up more in the next section! Look at creative ways to start to organize the items you buy, especially looking for things that you can grow with.

Intermediate By now, you are more comfortable with what you know how to do, and are ready to kick start things a bit more! Classes that are in this section are designed to help save money, but will also give you fun things to do to kick things up a bit! Keep saving money at places in your area that have coupons, or sales that you can watch for! Look at the ads a bit more closely for places that will help you with storage or products that you use a lot! Look at photos that are from harder events to start scrapbooking now instead of the same ole’ thing!

Advanced By now you are probably sick of the basic kind of photos – good, we’ll dig into the “extra’s” ! The products you will want to purchase are a lot more expensive, make sure you keep that in mind as you keep on rolling in this craft. However, you can save a money on cards and gifts alone by making things, and by looking for those coupons and sales! Keep in mind you do not need each and every embellishment, product, paper or book that is made and on the market today. This is about getting your memories out and on paper – not about spending the most money on your supplies. By now, I will tell you to start your Book of Me – a great project to do in order to use up the extra photos and supplies you have bought!!

Altered/gifts Altered items make great gifts for your friends and family being able to customize things to the recipients’ tastes. Gifts do not have to be expensive, but can really make an impact if someone is having a hard time in life! Give them an altered journal, pen, and a gift certificate to a book store for them to pick out their favorite book. Or make an event planner organizer (idea on the blog) to keep track of the dates you have! Look at the things you throw away such as coffee cans and 6 pack containers to alter for gifts! Mini albums make wonderful gifts for just about any time in someone’s life! One of a kind albums are even better to receive!

Thank you for stopping by Memories in Tyme, I am glad you came by to see us! Whether you are just starting out or are a pro, you are sure to find something here that will catch your eye! Make sure you check back often for new and exciting things we have been up to! Lynda Jeffs, Owner & Designer Memories in Tyme
