Presentation transcript:

MAKE A DENIM DOLLY Print out our Little Dolly template (below) Help your toddlers to cut out the dolly and its jeans Lay the cut out jeans template carefully over a piece of scrap denim. (If you can’t get any denim you can just use blue paper or card) NB: You may want to ask parents to bring in some old jeans a week prior to the day you will be doing these activities and you can use the denim from a few pairs for the whole class. Again, you may want to cut all the denim jeans out before the class begins to save time Once you have a little pair of denim jeans you can encourage the children to customize them by decorating with glitter glue, stick on jewels and paint Ask the children to stick their jeans on their dolly and then draw on T-shirt for them to wear and a big smiley face! Leave to dry and there they have it, their very own little denim dolly. WHAT YOU NEED 1.Our denim dolly and Jean template 2.Denim or blue card 3.Sequins, stick on jewels and any other stick on accessories

As an extra add-on you can glue a lollypop stick to the back of the dolly to turn it into a puppet. (If you are going to do this make sure your dolly is made of card not paper). NB: If this is done in the classroom you will notice that every denim dolly is unique, just like us! You could discuss this with the children and encourage them to appreciate the differences that make them unique. MAKE A DENIM DOLLY…
