New ranges System proM compact® and Compact Home ABB BA ATAP – BU 3118 Enclosures & DIN-rail Products

New MCB and RCD product ranges To improve and modernize the well proven proM range, a new range, proM compact has been introduced end of last year in some selected markets. We are now introducing this range into all our markets - step by step, together with the economic Compact Home range, in markets where this is useful

The right range for any application To differentiate between economical ranges for domestic / residential installations and high performance ranges for commercial / industrial applications and to offer the customers the best possible solution, 2 distinctive different, but yet similar and combinable ranges, have been created System proM compact, the modular installation system for all applications, but specifically for high performance demand in industries Compact Home with limited features for easy and simple use in building installation

System proM compact

System proM compact range The new complete range at a glance: Miniature circuit breakers (MCB's) Residual current devices (RCD's) Surge protection devices MDRC's Protection devices Command devices Load management devices Measuring devices Other devices Busbars and accessories

System pro M compact range A PLUS in all areas of application System proM compact, the modular installation system for DIN rails Launched successfully and greeted enthusiastically by experts and users A full range is now available, covering all applications for electrical building installation System proM compact is the logical next step of development after System proM

System proM compact range: plus Better access Due to the new design: Upper and lower shoulders reduced 50% more working space between the rows Outgoing and incoming connection points are easily accessible Comfortable, precise installation of devices, even where only very limited space in the consumer unit is available MCB's and RCD's have an optimized design, providing for an even safer connection technology

System proM compact range: plus A clear view, instead of feeling the way Now rear-mounted busbars Wire connection point in front Result: an unobstructed view on all connection points never fumble for the right connection point again improved safety tangible time-savings

System proM compact range: plus No possibility of mistakes New ABB terminal technology: Bi-directional cylinder-lift terminals, foolproof and failsafe Inaccurate - or even incorrect – fixing of wires or cross wiring is impossible, due to the new design of the terminal This also excludes the risk of a subsequent electrical accident, e.g. risk of fire caused by creepage current.

System proM compact range: plus Easier to replace DIN-rail mounting system makes it easy to replace devices (MCB's, RCD's) from the assembly No time-consuming extra work: Busbar remains with the assembly. To remove the device, just loosen the screw, lift the device and pull it out. If necessary, all devices of the series connected to the new proM compact busbars may be exchanged easily and quickly, e.g. to implement the adaptation to the standard VDE 0100, part 410

System proM compact range: plus Individual, efficient labeling of devices From now on, you will be able to use the self-adhesive labels that can be applied directly on the devices. For a transitory period, you may just as well use for some devices the self-adhesive system in combination with the still commonly used plug-on technique.

System proM compact range: plus New product line name The new type code system indicates the category to which a device is allocated This facilitates your product selection

System proM compact range: plus Outstanding, uniform design From MCB's and RCCB's to modular installation devices, all components of the system are distinguished by a clear, functional appearance Homogenous design that makes the technology's perfection and the precision with which the electrician made the installation visible also for the customer

System proM compact range Protection Devices MCB's (Miniature circuit breakers) RCCB's (Residual current circuit breakers) Main RCCB’s RCBO's (Residual current operated circuit breakers with overcurrent release) RCD-blocks (Residual-current unit to be fitted on MCB's)
