 Programmable calculators, PDAs, cell phones, headphones, etc. are not permitted during exams or quizzes. Failure to comply will result in a ZERO for the exercise.  Ball caps or other hats or head wear may not be worn on test days.  Make-up exams will NOT be given (after the fact!) – if you miss it; it’s your drop grade 5

 Every paper written for me must (but not limited to)  USE IN-TEXT CITATIONS – even for paraphrases!  include a proper bibliography (MUST be CSE style!)  Be submitted to turnitin.com  Make sure you turn it in to the correct assignment! I an NOT hunting it down!  See files in Critter Paper Folder for full directions!  BasicFormatting and CommonMistakes especially!  If you can’t figure out HOW see me or the writing center! 8

 Every paper written for me must (but not limited to)  be double spaced with proper margins!  have a single spaced (yes, I know that’s not MLA!) header block on the right of the 1 st page  Your name  Your class **AND** your class meeting time (or lab as appropriate)  The topic of the paper  Do NOT use the header function of your word processor!  Separate header from body by TWO blank lines!  Be aware – if you do it again, I’ll take off points again!  By the 3 rd paper – these points not recoverable! 9

 What is Plagiarism? What is copyright infringement? What are the consequences here at ABAC? How do you avoid it?  How many different kinds of plagiarism are there? (i.e., how many different ways!)  Elaborate! Explain!  Points will be deducted for lack of understanding!  words. 10

 Your choice of plant  Sign by the critter – one person per critter  Pay attention to grading metrics and the Manuscript Preparation Guidelines!  You get ONE chance for revision  You MUST turn in the original at the same time  For max credit, you must make all corrections!  Pay attention to proper format.
