Programme Objectives March EdD Program 1  The Doctor of Education (Ed.D) is designed to produce high quality academics in the area of education. This is in line with the nation’s aspiration in enhancing the human capital, which will be the pillar in achieving vision 2020.

Programme Objectives March EdD Program 2  To produce education leaders who are capable of making decisions, planning and carrying out duties that are entrusted on them effectively.  To produce academicians who are capable of conducting research in their related fields of specialisation.  To develop educational leaders who can translate theoretical knowledge into practical applications.  Specific objectives of the programme are:  To produce graduates who have wide education knowledge and skills to function as effective teachers, education officers or lecturers in educational institutions.

Program Delivery March EdD Program 14 Students are provided with specially developed learning modules which allows for self-paced learning. Self-managed learning Students are encouraged to attend the face-to-face seminars for a total of 15 hours per semester for each course (i.e. 5 seminar sessions with 3 hours per session). The facilitators who conduct the seminars are recruited by the university based on their expertise. Face-to-face seminar Students have 24x7 access to online learning via the OUM Learning Management System (myVLE). This further enables access to the huge collection in the digital library as well as collaborative learning with peers and discussions with facilitators. Online learning
