Key Terms Trustworthiness - Refers to the reliability of the information Validity - The information is valid, authentic or genuine Date of sources - this is the date when you gathered the information or image. Example: website visited - 23/09/08

Internet Searching What do the different parts of the website results mean?

Internet Searching (Advanced Searches) A search using more than one search term. Search terms are connected by Boolean Operators to focus the search, and Restrictions can be set to refine the search. Boolean operators tell the search engine which words you want your search to include or exclude. Boolean operators are AND, OR, NOT

Internet Searching (Favourites) A favourite is also known as a bookmark and is where a URL / Website Address is a locally stored on the computer so the website can be accessed again and again through a menu in the user's web browser, and folders are commonly used for organisation.
