Goals Revise the MEMS technical specification to support ER/LA Opioid REMS educational outcomes data for the health professions. Provide assistance to the accrediting bodies and the RPC in implementing the MEMS technical specifications.

What is MEMS? A standard format for CE outcomes data Allow educators to bring outcomes data together across systems Current Scope of MEMS 1.0 – Report description – Activity description – Participant survey data – Knowledge assessment data – Participation metrics, including credits awarded

MEMS Example Evaluation data: Online activities Evaluation data: Jointly sponsored activities Evaluation data: Journal-based CE Evaluation data: In person activities Program Evaluation Dashboard Participation

MEMS 2.0 Example CE provider Accreditor CE provider Accreditor REMS Educational Outcomes Data

What if we can’t do XML? That’s OK! Use Excel templates aligned with the standard Same field names Same values

Development Process

Funding The REMS Program Companies ( opioidREMS.com) is providing financial support for this work so that it may proceed in an accelerated fashion. opioidREMS.com How accelerated? Twice a month, schedule forthcoming.

Timeline

Next steps Gather ideas on how the standard could be used. Collect requirements to support ER/LA Opioid REMS CE evaluation. If there are additional requirements, they can be presented as well.
