 Ms. Holt went to Southern Middle School.

 Ms. Holt went to Grove Park Elementary and then Turrentine Middle School in Burlington, NC – home of the Trojans! (no comments please )

 Ms. Holt graduated from Southern Alamance High in 2003.

 Ms. Holt didn’t want to come to Southern, but her parents did not give her a choice when they moved during her 8 th grade year. However, she made the cheerleading squad and ended up cheering all four years for Mrs. Stephanie Smith! Go Patriots!

 Ms. Holt has an older brother.

 Ms. Holt is an only child. Think she’s spoiled? For Christmas this year, she finally got the present she’d been asking for the past twenty-five years: a Barbie Jeep.

 Ms. Holt has a pet.

 Jaxon, her beagle, is the best cuddler ever! He is four years old.

 Ms. Holt earned a degree from NC STATE University.

 You should probably know that Ms. Holt is a TarHeel through and through. She graduated from Carolina undergrad in 2007 with a BA in Sports Administration and English, and earned her Master’s degree in 2008 in Teaching.

 Ms. Holt worked in the basketball office while in school at UNC.

 Ms. Holt DID, however, work in the Carolina Football office for FOUR years through college and graduate school.

 Ms. Holt has been to London and Paris with students from school on spring break trips.

 In 2010, Ms. Holt took 16 students and parents to England and France. In 2011, two weeks before the Royal Wedding, Ms. Holt took 12 students and parents. If you are interested in international travel, let her know!

 Ms. Holt wants you to have a great semester in English.
