We have the whole world in our hands, So it is our job to protect the world and the environment

Littering throwing trash on the ground or in the water

Littering can hurt animals This is a Seal with a net on his neck so he cannot swim. This bird has oil all over him from an oil spill in the sea. Now he is very sick. This is a turtle with a plastic ring around his shell. He got caught in this plastic ring as a baby so now he looks funny.

What causes pollution? Cars Factories Garbage / Trash Chemicals Pollution anything harmful to the environment and nature

What can you do to help the Environment? Environment  Reduce  Reuse  Recycle

What can you do to protect the environment? Protect To take care of something Recycle Pick up trash Turn off lights Use less water Don’t litter Reuse bottles and bags

Am I protecting or hurting the Environment? I turn the lights off when I leave the room. (protecting) I use my own bag at the grocery store. (protecting) I throw a can on the ground. (hurting) I recycle the can in a recycle bin. (protecting) I leave the water running while I brush my teeth. (hurting) (hurting) I throw away my plastic bag. (hurting)
