GO GREEN [#1] ANSWER: 1,500 miles (on average) to get fruits and veggies to your grocery! Try to pick locally grown produce (farmer’s market)!

GO GREEN [#4] Sadly, the US is the #1 country for trash in the world! An average of 1600 lbs. of trash per person is thrown away per year! That’s ¾ of a ton! The trash we toss is ¾ organic, which could be composted to make nutrient rich soil!

GO GREEN [#5] How many plastic waters bottles will be thrown away this year? A.15 thousand B.12 million C.38 billion D.100 trillion

GO GREEN [#5] 38 billion water bottles will be thrown in landfills this year. It takes 700 years for the plastic bottles to decompose ! That trash of bottles would circle the globe 150 times! Use BPA-free plastic bottles or re-useable stainless steel water containers!

GO GREEN [#6] If each US household replaced 1 package of napkins with 100% post-consumer content - recycled material, about how many trees would be saved? A.100,000,000 trees B.1,000,000 trees C.Unknown amounts

GO GREEN [#6] If each US household replaced 1 package of napkins with 100% post-consumer content - recycled materials (office paper, newspaper), we would save 100,000,000 trees yearly! Recycled napkins aren’t as expensive as one might think. Recycled napkins are clean.

GO GREEN Please… Reduce materials used first. Reuse materials as much as possible. Recycle things that aren’t able to be reused.
