Thank you for your presentations We think they are great! It is really interesting learning about completely different cultures and countries. We especially liked your ‘under the water’ presentation! In England lots of pollution is happening. It made us think a lot more about what is happening under the sea.
ECO! We have an eco team at our school! Even the younger children have eco representatives. Every Friday, the younger children and older children take it in turns to learn and do things about the environment. Our representative is Jessica Leng. She cares so much about animals and nature. The representatives change each term for each class. Each year, we have a daffodil competition to see who can grow the best daffodil.
Our world At school we try to be very environmentally friendly. We recycle as much as we can and we enjoy planting new plants. We have found out that our world is getting hotter because of global warming. Fortunately, it has only gone up one degree Fahrenheit in the last century but that is very bad because a hundred years ago, it had gone up one degree Fahrenheit in the last thousand years! (If you don’t understand that last sentence don’t worry, it’s very confusing!!!)
Poems Come Alive Thank you for your wonderful poems. We really enjoyed reading and listening to them. The one poem that everyone loved was by Derva Bhatt. We also liked the poem by Armaan Kajani and the beautiful ‘Seasons Song’ from Edward James. In the poem you say that the leaves change into beautiful things, we have to say that all the class agree.
Keeping our Environment Clean We are very impressed at how you look after your environment. We help to look after our environment by recycling plastic and glass bottles, paper and much more. We like to keep our world clean like you!
Compost We compost used tea bags, vegetables and fruit peelings and garden waste. Is it possible for you to make compost at your school? We use the compost on our sensory garden when we have new plants. Infant Eco Team
