RECYCLING PROJECT

(Fabulous And enVironment friendlY) FAVY BAG (Fabulous And enVironment friendlY)

Why? We found it is a rare idea if we reuse the recycle things and transform into fashion things , it is creative way and meant to be very useful for daily life.

The main material in our project is plastic as we focus on plastic pollution which this issue nowadays has worsen day by day Hannah Hoag, December 10 2014, The Oceans’ Plastic Pollution Problem Is Far Worse Than We Thought, and Here’s Why, from http://fullcyclefund.com/the-oceans-plastic-pollution-problem-is-far-worse-than-we-thought-and-heres-why/

FACT ABOUT PLASTIC POLLUTION! Americans use 2,500,000 plastic bottles every hour! Most of them are thrown away! Plastic bags and other plastic garbage thrown into the ocean kill as many as 1,000,000 sea creatures every year! Recycling plastic saves twice as much energy as burning it in an incinerator. Reference from (link) : Research from University Southern Indiana, http://www.usi.edu/recycle/plastic-recycling-facts In the Los Angeles area alone, 10 metric tons of plastic fragments-grocery bags, straws and soda bottles—are carried into the Pacific Ocean every day. Reference from (link): Lynn Hasselberger, 7 April 2014, 22 Facts About Plastic Pollution (And 10 Things We Can Do About It), from http://ecowatch.com/2014/04/07/22-facts-plastic-pollution-10-things-can-do-about-it/

The things needed for the project are: Bottle plastics with different colours Bottle wrappers Old clothes Hot glue gun Single Hole Puncher Steam Iron Plastic bags Scissor Cutter

OUR PROTOTYPE : Plastic bag

The main material needed is plastic bottle(plastic bottle that have been flatten) only 

For this part we use plastic bag as the rope

REFERENCE : Tutorial on making rope using plastic bag(youtube link): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aiFljBVMfl4

Benefits of the bag are: It is make from recycle things so it is environmental safe It is another form of art that can be sold or you can make it as a collection for yourself Can be made as a storage which this function was like a usual bag that you wear It is waterproof since the major part of the bag are made of plastics It can save your money since all the things needed for this project are available at home

Reflection: Identify issues related to nature and the impact on society Our focus is on plastic pollution which this is one of the issues that have potential  poison animals, which can then adversely affect human food supplies. To see our understanding on conserving our nature through strategy to manage information and life learning . We should have knowledge about issues that can harm nature. One of the way to reduce plastic pollution is by using biodegradable plastic and recycle bag. We feel more responsible toward our nature for our own benefit. Ourselves awareness on plastic pollution matter has rise.
