Global warming is caused by factories, car pollution and by cutting down trees. It’s bad, because it harms the Earth very much.

Global warming harms the Earth by melting the ice on the North Pole. It’s bad for the polar bears, because if there’s no ice they can’t hunt. If they can’t hunt they won’t have anything to eat and they will die and become extinct.

Temperatures are getting hotter, like in Africa and Australia. If you and everyone else continues to use bad things (that you can read about on slide 8), then every country will be about 60*C and all of us will die or turn into fish.

The government said that recycle. Choose reusable products, instead of disposables. By recycling half of your household waste, you can save 2,400 pounds ( kg) of carbon dioxide annually. They also said that use less heat and air conditioners. Add insulation to walls and attic. Install weather stripping or caulk around doors and windows. It can lower your heating costs more than 25 percent. More people are using bicycles to ride on to work than cars.

The ozone layer is 15 kilometers from Earth. It protects us from ultraviolet rays. Those rays can cause eye cataract, skin cancer, sunburn and less plants.

We are now destroying this layer by using old kind air conditioners, refrigerators, fire extinguishers and spray cans. There are now holes in the ozone layer. This causes less plants and more diseases. You can protect this layer by using things that don’t contain CFCs.

There are three types of Green house gases. Carbon dioxide, Methane and Nitrous oxide. The Green House Gas Layer protects us from sun rays that hit the Earth and sends them back to space. If this layer wouldn’t exist, it wouldn’t keep the heat and there would be -20*C.
